Lyrans

Opening of contact. In 1989 the multidimensional consciousness Germane transmitted, through Lyssa Royal, the teachings on the galactic origin of the Lyran peoples. The book's title, The Prism of Lyra, carries the whole teaching. Light passing through a prism is not diminished but spread into colours, and in the same way one consciousness divided into peoples. Separation was therefore not a fall but a refraction. The channelings opened memories of galactic migrations and of Lyra's relationship with the peoples of Earth, the Pleiades, Orion and Zeta Reticuli.

The nation's home world. Lyrans come from the worlds of the constellation Lyra and especially the Vega system, and the original home planet of the feline lineage is Avyon. Vega is among the brightest stars in the sky, and the constellation is named after an instrument: the lyre that Greek myth places in the hands of Orpheus. Humanity gave that patch of sky the name of an instrument thousands of years before a single word was channelled from it. The name landed, which with this nation is more the rule than the exception.

How does this nation appear? Lyrans arrive as humanlike origin peoples, as feline beings and as teachers of creativity. Contact opens memories of migrations, of ancient conflicts and of the power of sound. Their presence is rarely quiet: it almost always brings a rhythm, a tone or a phrase that goes on sounding rather longer than the encounter itself lasted.

Its mission beside humanity. Lyrans awaken the original creative force and the courage to become visible as oneself. They will not, however, say what you ought to make. A prism does not choose the colours. As an origin people they would have every right to, and it is worth noting that they decline: being first does not mean standing above what followed but being responsible for it. The sharpest point of their teaching is simple. The voice you do not use is not transferred to anyone else. It is merely missing.

How does contact open? Contact opens during music, singing, writing or a strong creative current. It is often felt in the chest and throat as an energy looking for a form. Many people ask for permission at this point. Permission is the one thing Lyran contact does not give, and not out of severity but because nobody has any to give.

How can its presence be recognised? Feline figures, golden light, recurring tones and an irresistible need to create are the signs of Lyra. What distinguishes it from ordinary enthusiasm is how uncomfortably personal it is: it does not call you to do good work but your own work, and the two are rarely the same thing. The trace shows up in what starts to feel dull. After the encounter, reproducing someone else's style loses its flavour, however well it goes.
